Leadership Excellence - Tone Setting, Morale, and Motivation Detailed Description
The key to successful leadership is to win the minds, hearts, and spirits of those being led. The Tone Setting, Morale, and Motivation program attacks the primary principles of people centered leadership by providing the skills needed to have people want to work for you. The individual connection from leader to team and how that relates to motivation, satisfaction, and production is the primary focus of this unit.
As the leader’s tone goes, so goes the team’s tone. This requires effective leaders to embrace a set of skills related to establishing tone and managing the morale of the team. The program begins with the impact of good tone on morale, turnover, production, quality of work, stress levels, and customer service. Ten skills steps are introduced to insure tone is always high and relationships with team members are built in appropriate levels and with consistency. Understanding the stages and strategies associated with personal motivation is also an important feature of Tone Setting, Morale, and Motivation. The six roles of leadership and the fourteen characteristics of effective leadership are highlighted.
