Human Resource Excellence - Workplace Violence Detailed Description
It was once referred to as "going postal." Jokes followed. Unfortunately, the phenomenon of Workplace Violence is no longer isolated, no longer limited to certain companies and certainly, no longer a joke. It affects all types of organizations and people that we have worked with for decades are not immune. This program will begin by looking at the underlying causes and conditions that sometimes evolve into more violent events as well as behaviors that some people would hesitate on labeling as violence. Environmental, cultural, and economic issues are also covered.
Workplace Violence continues with the difficult task of assessing the potential for violent behavior and identifying warning signs in team members. This area is difficult because the identification of potential is not perfect and can often create a larger issue if not handled correctly. The program moves into solutions by leading participants through building processes and procedures to deal with violence and the proper reporting protocols.
As an almost exclusive to North America and the modern working environment, Workplace Violence is a necessary set of skills and analytics that will assist organizations in assessing their risks and responses.
