Human Resource Excellence - Labor Relations Detailed Description
In the ever-changing world of labor organizing, unions and employer / employee rights, Labor Relations is a powerful set of skills and learning to stay on top of current trends and utilize the best practices of all types of organizations. This program will cover all phases of labor agreements beginning with initial organizing and the rights of both employers and employees. From there, Labor Relations will present initial and renew collective bargaining agreements and the tips and tactics to remain at the negotiating table and not facing labor strife.
Labor Relations will also work on post contract issues such as discipline, grievances, and disputes that often consume much more time than originally envisioned. This post-contract view will assist practitioners modify their practices and procedures to align with collective bargaining contracts and avoid costly arbitrations and hearings. A final part of this program is the future view of employee unions and the role that unions play in the modern working environment.
For any employer, Labor Relations is a good overview of the unionizing process and the needed steps to take after collective bargaining is finalized.
