Human Resource Excellence-Harassment and Hostile Working Environments

Detailed Description

Human Resource Excellence.

Creating work environments that are free from harassment, hostility and retaliation is the objective of Harassment and Hostile Working Environments.  This program focuses on both the compliance and practical issues related to claims of harassment, investigation of complaints, required documentation and what constitutes a hostile working environment.  Clearly defining what is and is not harassment is the starting point for this program and what penalties can be faced by organizations and individuals when harassment is present.

Harassment and Hostile Working Environments continues with the boundaries for hostile work environments and how to monitor, respond and document any claims of hostility.  Cursing, yelling, sexual innuendos, isolation, lack of access and disparate treatment are all covered in detail for both the human resource professional and manager.  Equally important in this unit is avoiding any tendency to over-react to claims and to provide empathetic but non-judgmental solutions to these potentially toxic issues.

Harassment and Hostile Working Environments is fully compliant with State of California requirements for annual training and is an important part of human resource and management skills.
