Human Resource Excellence.

Beginning where Discovering Diversity leaves off, Embracing Diversity is a deeper view of diversity in working and general populations.  The program will first review population trends and compare current diversity with diversity from the 20th, 19th and 18th century and provide some underlying reasons for differences and highlight the similarities.  Again, not confrontational but a difficult look at some baseline racial and economic factors that relate to diversity stressors in workplaces and communities.

 

Embracing Diversity continues with learning about common cultural differences.  It is about what we believe we know and what we actually know and how to bridge that gap with greater knowledge.  The program will then continue with building deeper appreciation and personal tolerances.  The final elements of the program focus on how to improve diversity and key differences between encouraging diversity and Affirmative Action.

 

As with Discovering Diversity, Embracing Diversity will greatly assist organization cope with a diverse culture of team members, customers, and society.

1.  Understand key diversity trends, social trends, and economic conditions that relate to diversity.

 

2.  Utilize diversity as a resource for greater input and range of ideas and perspectives.

 

3.  Build greater levels of diversity in your working environment through proactive steps and strategies.

 

4.  Develop higher levels of appreciation and personal tolerances towards diverse populations.

 

5.  Learn more about different cultures and races and confront topics of misunderstanding or lack of understanding.

 

6.  Create personal action plans and strategies to implement the skills and competencies learned.

 

7.  Review case studies to produce actions that are consistent with the skills and competencies learned.
