Human Resource Excellence-Organizational Development Detailed Description
Organizational Development is a complex science that intersects with hiring, training, compensation, retention, succession planning and overall business performance. At it's core, it is a systemic and planned approach to managing and directing resources towards common objectives. Some look at Organizational Development as glorified training or as solely a human resource functionality but it is much more than that. This program will define the roles, impacts and benefits of correctly utilized OD strategy and how to implement an OD approach in all types and sizes of environments.
The specific competencies in this program include alignment of organizational objectives, definition of key purposes and directions, coordination of hiring, learning and employment practices and overall talent management. Another core skill in this program is the synchronization of performance expectations on macro and micro levels to company success factors and measures. Group dynamics, elements of industrial psychology, individual and organizational assessment, succession planning and needed interventions are also covered in Organizational Development.
